Over 500 years ago , Shogun Ashikaga Yoshimasa broke his favorite tea bowl . Upon receiving it repaired with metal staples , he asked Japanese artisans for a more beautiful solution . Thus was born kintsugi , a technique that repairs with varnish and gold dust , celebrating the scars as part of each object 's history .
In this workshop you will experience that same philosophy through two classes of two hours each ( 4 hours in total):
In the first, you will create and decorate your own bowl.
In the second, you will apply the kintsugi technique to repair it with a special mixture inspired by the traditional method .
Includes all materials , hot and cold beverages , and a carefully curated environment that invites you to connect with the creative process .
The modality is flexible: you can choose when to start and when to take the second class, always within the same month.
You must select when to start. Once you have signed up and completed the first class, we will schedule the second class at the studio based on availability and the client's request.
